With decades of hands on – and off — experience working with art students aged 4 – 84, Marti has always been able to find a solution to your questions about art and techniques. With her persistent inquisitive mind, she will find a medium and method to accomplish your artistic goals.

6 week, on campus training. Studied drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry making at Millersville State College, Pennsylvania

summer 1976

Studied commercial art from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she was introduced to graphic design, caricature drawing and figure drawing, and fashion design.

1977 – 1981

enrolled in the Art Education program at Millersville University with a wide range of courses: art history, textiles, jewelry, ceramics and pottery, graphic design, drawing, painting.

art teacher – Jan – June 1982

instructed Kutztown Area High School 9th – 12 grade art students in general art, drawing, design, jewelry, pottery, painting, history

art teacher – 1982 – 1983

instructed grade 1 – 6, general art skills in Pottstown, Phoenixville Pennsylvania

art teacher 1984 – 1992

taught kindergarten to 6th grade students in a variety of medium with a focus on elements of art and art history

1993 – 2011

founded an art school to instruct students one-to-one with private lessons. students finally learned to draw and paint. many students remained in lessons for over 5 years, some 10 — and one studied individually for over 14 years. group instruction was limited to 8 students.
